Cyanotype Workshop

TIME: 12-1:30PM

PLACE: Feel Goods: 317 Taughannock Blvd. Ithaca, NY.

In this class, you learn about the process of cyanotype printing as well as design and make your own cyanotype prints.

What’s included for you to keep:
- a pre-treated organic cotton bandana (to print on at the workshop)
- pre-treated paper (to print on at the workshop)
- blank paper/cards with envelopes (to treat at the workshop for future printing)
- an envelope to keep treated paper unexposed

We will start with a brief overview of what cyanotype is and its history. Then you will treat blank paper/cards which will be set aside to dry and to be used at a later time (this is so you can get a full sense of the cyanotype process at the workshop). Next, you will design, expose, and rinse your prints for your bandana and pre-treated paper!

Some items (such as flowers, leaves, & alphabet pasta) will be provided for you to print with however, feel free to bring anything else that you would like to use in your design! Additionally, you might want to wear clothes that you are okay with potentially getting stained.
