What does "ethically made" mean?

Good question! Ethically made is one of those buzz words that encompasses so much that it doesn’t really mean anything anymore.

Here at Feel Goods, ethically made means that these products were made responsibly, both in terms of social and environmental impact. That means we accept goods that meet one of the following requirements:

  • Slow fashion/small batch
  • Living wage production/Fair trade
  • Made with natural materials
  • Made with recycled materials
  • Made with organic materials
  • Locally made
  • LBGTQ+ owned
  • BIPOC owned
  • Women owned
  • Non-toxic
  • Not tested on animals

Do you carry leather products?

Yes. I (Heidi, the owner here) made the conscious choice not to carry vegan “leather” products because they are - for the most part - made from petroleum. We carry vintage leather products and new leather products made in small batches with high-quality leather. These items are made to last a lifetime or longer and I always recommend making a leather purchase with that in mind. Materials aren’t perfect, there is always waste and questions of ethics under capitalism. We do our best to offer quality products that last, and leather is a great material for that. Plastic (vegan leather) is not.
