All pots are handmade with mined materials and subject to unique charms of the craft and hands that brought them to life. Therefore, variations in glaze and slight variations in size are expected.
These pieces are made on breezy South Hill in Ithaca, NY by potter and educator Kelly Brown. Kelly learned how to throw pots by a local potter as part of a trade: childcare for pottery lessons. It quickly ignited a passion for what she calls “fancy dirt” or clay. Now ceramics is a stronghold part of her everyday, whether it’s working in her own studio or teaching kids and adults in Ithaca and the surrounding areas.
